OUR STORY

Co-founded in 2016 by former investment banker Roger Duarte and James Beard Award Nominee Chef Sam Gorenstein, Zuuk Mediterranean Kitchen is a Miami-based fast casual restaurant concept that fuses deeply rooted Mediterranean culinary traditions with the excitement of contemporary wanderlust in a quick service restaurant setting.

Our Executive Chef, Sam Gorenstein, born in Colombia and raised in the most prestigious kitchens of Miami and New York, hails from Middle Eastern descent. His Syrian grandmother introduced him to foods and flavors from the Middle East before he could walk. Not only did this time in the kitchen inspire Sam to become a chef, but it also played a large role in shaping his culinary imagination. He began to understand the transcendental power of food and how distinct flavors can transport you to the other side of the world, without ever having to leave the kitchen.

After great success with local seafood fast casual concept My Ceviche, Chef Sam went back to his roots to create a concept representative of his heritage and the flavors that reminded him of home: Zuuk Mediterranean Kitchen. Now with 3 locations in Miami, Zuuk proudly serves authentic homemade Mediterranean food in a fast casual setting, made in-house from scratch on a daily basis.
